JustAScrappin" the challenge for Aug 30 is a Stairstep card.  This is my first and I found several good tutorials on You Tube to get started.
First I cut my paper to 6" X 10" then did the folds with a 2" front then from that over at 2 inches up two 1" folds, at 3" two 1 1/2" folds, last at 5" two 2 1/2" folds.  after all that then the cut from 2 inch to 5 inch and the folding the card worked.  any questions?  just ask.

 Here is how it looked as I covered everything.  It was sometimes a challenge to get things cut just right to fit but got it in the end.

For the "Teacher" challenge using the color orange, ribbon and bling  I did the this that a child may give

then this that a parent may give

Here's a card for Card Maker Magazine Reflection of "me" monochromatic card.  I love purple and have since I was about 7. Then it was only at Easter I could find clothes and things now I can find things all the time and love it.

Here is a creation for Play Date using Cherry Red, mint and jade.  Love this color set.  worded out just great.  I used slink flowers on the jade tag to bring out the mint in the card a little more.  The tag is printed in red but here it's hard to see it matches the ink on the edges.

Just a Scrappin embossing animal challenge

This weeks challenge for  Just A Scrappin' Blog is a card, LO or 3D project using any animal, embossing and 3 buttons.
 Here's the card I made using my chalk's stencil that I had better luck embossing than the embossing patterns.  Love the way my dog showed up - looks like my dog Buffy.  It was harder than I first expected after watching youTube how-to.  I do not think I'll do this again by hand.
