Just A Scrappin'  Happy Birthday Patti! This challenge is to make a birthday card, LO or project using Patti's favorite color Blue, bling and embossing.  So Fun.

I did this LO using Cricut cartridge Tie the Knot to cut the embossed <cake> at 5", blackout/shadow at 5" on blue cardstock from stash, and <cake-3> at 5" in Silver Metallic Foil.  For my background I used Best Occasion Metallic paper in blue/gray. That refected  the light in the photos.  Miss Elizabeth's Floral Alphabet stickers in blue on vellum for happy birthday (can't read in photo) and chipboard from stash.  Come join us at Just A Scrappin'

Just A Scrappin'  February 14th  Valentines Day!   Anything goes,  using anything but RED. I dug into my stash and found this gold foil heart, then went looking for something else for Valentines Day  here is what I ended up with.

I cut using Art Philosophy cartridge <Branch2> layer at 4" in brown/greenish cardstock from my stash,  <heart1> at 1/4"  & 1/2" in different colors of green from stash. Using 3M adhesive glued the Branch from the left edge across the card over the gold foil heart. Then I took the 1/4" hearts and used them as buds, and the 1/2" hearts as leaves.   Next I added the stickers to spell LOVE across some of the buds.  Last added sentiment printed by computer. Just A Scrappin'  Feb. 7th challenge Love is in the Air.  Use Lots of Hearts.  For my Love is in the Air I did a "in Memories" for the good Valentines Days my husband and I had.  I cut on large heart using Cricut Art Philosophy <heart1>  at 11" Me & My Big Idea 2005 print paper, then a hearts using <heart3> at 4" plain pink, and <heart 3> Layer purple pattern.  I made this on black cardstock, using purple ribbon, bling hearts stickers and other scraps for my stash.  I do not buy new supplies for projects except glue and tape runners.  First I glued on the ribbon to the very bottom, added the main heart, cut his picture to 3" square using Elmer's adhesive squares placed that on the space next to "Memories".  Next the cut hearts and then the stickers.

I like how the "Memories" showed next to his photo and across the middle of the heart. Join us at

Anything Goes 4 Kids Challenge You have until Friday February 1st at noon CST to enter this challenge. Here is a download bird with berries that I colored blue with snow behind him.  Most of the USA got it this week but in a few weeks it's be gone.  I used white stickles over the area for snow behind the bird, but it does not show up in the photo. I'll be doing more cards then mailing them in so they can go to the kids who need them.

Just A Scrappin'  Let's Quilt Challenge  Make a card, LO or project with a quilt pattern on it and add embossing.  Since I was using the  butterfly quilt my mother made by hand for me that's what my project is about.  I'm sure she doesn't know how I still fell about it so here is what I made.

The butterflies on my paper quilt is from Art Philosophy <bttrfly> layer at 1 1/2".  I cut the pattern papers the same size as the butterfly background paper 2" X 2 1/2".  After taping the quilt blocks together I did the hand embossing that I see as the sewing thru the layers like I have on my real quilt.  I glued it to the white cardstock and mixed the color and size of letters like the patterns in the quilt to say "Mom after 35 years I Love my butterfly quilt."  I think she'll be surprised.  Join us at Just A Scrappin'  for the Quilt challenge!

Just A Scrappin' Challenge Jan. 10 2013 Make a card, LO or project using a new technique or style that you have not done before.  I did a flip-flop mini album for Christmas day.  I started with 4 1/2 inch accordion fold card, used 3 small flags at the top and 3 larger flags at the bottom of the folds to make a interactive book.  I used 3.5 pictures of my dog Blackie and his new Bear he got for Christmas.  I used Art Philosophy to cut the embellishments <shape6>, <ormant1> at 2 inches, pages at <square1> at 4 1/2 inches.  If I make another I'd make it bigger to fit the pictures better. This is the inside form the front view, you can see the picture is cut very close and see some of the embellishments on the page flags.

This is the inside for the back view.  the trees are also cut with Art Philosophy but I do not have the sizes.

This is the front and back full pages.
Join us at Just A Scrappin' this week and do something new!
