Out of our comfort zone.   Join us at  Justascrappin' weekly Challenge to make a Non traditional Christmas card, layout or 3D project (thanks to one of talented designers' for this idea).  You can use any colors but red or green.

I love purple so that's what I used.  Starting with a purple card base at 5 1/2" I then used the Cricut cartridge Art Philosophy to cut the <circle4> at 4 1/2" and <FlurDels> at 3".

Placed the circle onto the base, with a jumbo Zot in the Flur back I gathered the lace around it.  Using a sheer ribbon I hung the layer from the top of the circle like an ornament.  Last the "Let it Snow" sentiment and snow flasks to go with the pp in the circle. When I seen this color challenge Lawnscaping Challenge I just had to do it  for some reason the idea for the card popped into my head right then. Now here it is ...
The color is not as good in the photo as it really should be because for some reason the flash massed it up.  I used the kraft as the center with inking around the edges then stamped the sentiment, added red silk flowers and the gold with turquoise butterfly. Last added it all to the turquoise base.  I love it.

Today I was inspired by there two challenges  since I found the print out of an Iowa farm that fit the bill.   I used a A2 card base in white then a mat in black to place the drawing for the winter picture of a Iowa barn covered in snow.  I used markers to color the barn in maroon and black to do the shadows then Crystal Stickles for the white snow.

Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge Winter Fun 4 Kids that cards can be holiday or any winter teamed cards.
The Play Date Cafe 'Color Splash' Challenge  it's simply...Black & White with a 'Splash' and this time, it's a splash of MAROON.

Welcome to another Justascrappin' weekly Challenge! Nov. 15th challenge Tag your it-- make a tag or a project with a tag on it.  Use any theme and add some bling.  I made a LO with tags using Cricut Art Philosophy <Tag3>at 1 inch and 3/4 inch. Also used <bttrfly2> at 2 inch and <Bttrfly2> layer at 1 1/2 inch then <Rctngle5> at 4 inch for the title.

The letters used reflect the light and I could not get a clear photo of  "Leaving Russia". Added purple Stickles to butterfly wings and bodies but can not see all of it in the photo, maybe because of the over reflection of the letters.  Join us at  Justascrappin' weekly Challenge Tag your it.

Welcome to another Justascrappin' weekly Challenge! For the week of November 8, 2012  Lets paint the town with STRIPES  make a card, layout or 3D project using stripes.  Use any theme but use Autumn Colors.  I dug into my stash and found this striped paper, then went looking for something I have not used in a while here is what I ended up with.

I cut a 3 x 12 inch strip of vellum, cut the edges  a decorative edges and chocked them and the edges of the small leaves. Using Vellum adhesive glued the top 1/2 inch from the left edge. Next I took a brown wire and twisted about ever 4 to 5 inches using a pencil tip until it was  as long as the page.  Using a large Zot I adhered the brown button with wire to the vellum adding leaves with small Zots to the twist down the wire.  Last using a large eyelet hole maker punch holes through both the vellum and paper about 1 inch apart and thread the ribbon then taped ends down on back.
Using Cricut cartridge Art Philosophy cut the <circle2> at 2 inch and the  <square1> 2 1/4 inch adding Autumn to circle and placing the square for journeying.  Last the numbers for the date.  Join us for a great Autumn Stripes challenge at Justascrappin'

Create with DCWV and Win! I love the DCWV   Mariposa stack, but been saving my favorite sheets until now.  I made this  Butterflies Wall Art

I started with 6 sheet of DCWV doing 3 across and 2 down that fit on my old used frame adhering with ATG.

Cutting by hand the small and large pieces from pages that I had to save every time I used any of this stack I added all the extra images that I could.  Then I cut using the Cricut Expression more butterflies out of other pieces from my stash for more detail.  Using Zots 3D dots I added all the cuts across the pages as I wanted.

Supply list
 6 12 X 12 sheets of Mariposa Stack,
1 gold card stock Hobby Lobby
 adhesive: ATG, Zots 3D dots
Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge Butterfly1 , Butterfly 1 layer and Butterfly 2 at 1 3/4 inch
1 old 2 pc frame

Now I have a wall of butterflies in my living room that everyone can see and enjoy even if they never craft or use the great DCWV products.  LOVE IT!

Play Date Cafe  Celebrates 3 Years!
We have a trio of bold colors for this week's color story. They are Flame, Grape, and Mulberry.  I made this tag to go with another light jar with a witch that I used Cricut Art Philosophy Tag1 and tore with the mulberry and grape paper with the printout witch on.  This was easy since I had planned on sometime getting a tag made.  The colors was just perfect for Halloween!
Just A Scrappin' challenge for  Oct. 18th is ANYTHING GOES.  I have made a Thinking of You card for a lady who went back into the hospital with cancer.  Her husband has worked here at the retirement community for 20 some years and everyone knows them, they are really good people so  this one is special. I'll collect as many signatures as I can.
I used the Art Philosophy Front Layer <stocking> at 5 1/2 inches on Best Creation Glitter timed two toned blue card stock for the center.  Layered onto blue paper from my stash using stickers from Jolee's boutique (birds) Thickers (Rockabye) and flowers on branches from stash. The blue organdy ribbon is by Jo-Ann. All  on white card stock base.  Hope you can play along with us this week at Just A Scrappin'- look for some Blog candy!

Join us at Just a Scrapin' for this weeks challenge a 3D Halloween project!  Any thing you want to make any colors.  I did 2 jar lights  (I no longer do pumpkin carving) this is a modpoge with tissue paper project that I use candles outside but the small LED candles can be used esp. inside or with smaller children.  First I picked colors I wanted then what I'll put on the face of the jar. I started with a modpoge layer of tissue paper.  The orange jar is in strips and the white is done with tore chunks any size and shape.  Next the rat modpoge layered over the orange while the spiders are stickers all over the place.  I used Cricut Art Philosophy Tag 4 at 3" for the Raven/Nevermore tag hung with black and orange twine.  The spider tag is Rctngle1 with a computer gen sticker of a large spider on one side and a large corner web on the other hung with yarn.  The lids are spray painted with Liquitex professional Spray Paint Fluorescent Green.  Check out Just A Scrappin' to see what the other Design Team members made for this weeks fun project.
