Happy Memorial Day May 30, 2013 Here at Just-a-Scrappin' this weeks challenge is  Anything goes create a card or LO using the colors RED, WHITE & BLUE.  Here is my Book of Dates I'm working on.  It has each month with a calendar without the day just the date so it can be used forever.  This way I have a  place to look up birthday, anniversary and any special date needed.  This is July that I finished.   I started with a chipboard book that I used rings to hold together.I layered in the list of birthdays and it can be replaced if needed because I used Velum Repositionable Glue Dots adhesive,  added chipboard stickers and cut lots of starts using <Star3> from Art Philosophy I adhered 3 different size stars and have no idea now what size they are.  Now it's your turn - Join us at Just-a-Scrappin'

350 Cards & Gifts: Gift Card Holder Challenge

350 Cards & Gifts Week:   Gift Card Holder Challenge

"Gift cards are awfully convenient, and they are great for ensuring that the recipient gets exactly what he or she wants. But they lack that personal touch.   That's where we paper crafters come in! There are a ton of fun ways to paper craft gift card holders to give them that personal and special touch that the gift cards themselves lack."

sherry here, I started with a tag then make a envelope to cover the gift card.

All supplies are from my stash.  the butterfly paper is from Fancy Pants, left over from another project.
I used temporary adhesive, Web Bond TA 101, to hold the gift card to the tag.  This way I can conceal the GC and have lots of room to  add names, sentiment and embellishments.

Once again, I invite you to join us in ourchallenge in celebration of 350 Cards & Gifts Week here in the Moxie Fab World.

Use a sewing technique, your favorite color and Chipboard for the challenge on  'Just A Scrappin'.
This is for my Mother's family scrapbook I'm

working on with her pictures of my Grandmother Dawson, her mother.  I used my favorite color purple for the background and the pink and purple for the mates.  The sewing is like hand sewing Grandma Dawson did for years.  She also sewed clothing by hand, even suits, but I did not have a good way to show that here, maybe I'll figure out something.    Come join in the fun at 'Just A Scrappin'

'Just A Scrappin' Challenge for May 2, 2013 is In The Garden - Make a layout about gardening.  I love roses and that's the garden I used for this LO.  At one time we had the backyard of the home we lived in completely done in flowers, esp. roses.  I started with pictures and then found a wood figure to color in like I would have been, white hair included.  Using Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge I cut on tag <Tag4> at 2 inches for the Backyard sign and a small <rctngl1> not sure of the size, that says Love Roses.  Added 3 silk roses to wood figure just because I love roses.
Thanks for stopping and please join in all the fun at 'Just A Scrappin'!
