This week at Play Date Cafe they have an easy Color Splash Challenge. I did a LO for my Mothers scrapbook, again. This is photos from her 80th birthday party. She was not expecting everyone to be there when she came over to our house. It was fun.
I used black and white background paper then added the layer behind her picture in nectarine, DCWV ADHESIVE mat stack brights. This is the first time I used this stack and it really worked good. All products used is from my stash. This was a fun and quick page for my Mothers scrapbook. Come on and join Play Date Cafe Color Challenge!
I hope to inspire and share with others scrapbooking, card making and altered arts.

Just-A-Scrappin' Challenge for June 12, 2013 is
Celebrate the special man Happy Father's Day using Browns and Greens. I'm still working on my Mother's scrapbook so I took a picture I found of my Dad, Clyde, and Mom, Violet, and Me! I have very few pictures of my Dad, this on is from 1950 and I do not remember him looking like this. I added the puppy Muffin because of all the dog in the 17 years of raising dogs, she was his favorite. I used scenic route paper designed by Sarah Mine from my stash for the background that has brown and green. Then added the word stickers from the Paper Studio Family Ties. I like how this turned out but I must wait for the names because I can't remember how to spell the couples last name. They were friends of the family all my life.

For this play date I did a 2 page LO for my Mother's scrapbook I'll take to her this June. I have not seen her for 2 years and a lot has changed. She is now in a nursing home in Cedar Rapid Iowa while I'm in Las Cruces NM. Lots of miles apart. I hope she'll enjoy this one I'm making her now. I love this color combo.

Celebrate Graduation with Just-A-Scrappin' Use school colors or anything goes and add some bling. I have TWO graduations this year. One, Tara, from law school, takes board exams later this summer.
The other, David, from Iowa State with school colors of red and gold. First card is for Tara in purple because I love purple and have no idea if law school has colors.
I used <rctngle8> at 2 1/2 inches from Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, added the label, glued to card. Added the sliver ribbon with Dots and the metal with glitter glue. Inside will say " When you pass your bar, your be as happy as a bird with a french fry".
The other is Red and Gold, the gold always reflected the light not the flash. I used red card stock for the bottom half and a PP for the top. Cut <Square3> at 3 inches from gold card stock using Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. Finished with stickers. Inside is a small envelope with play money sticking out. Everything I used came from my stash. Come on and join us at Just-A-Scrappin'!
